Eric Viafara (erisado) drew since he could take a pencil in his hand, this love for drawing and graphic narrative led him to abandon his engineering career and go to study at a small school of arts (Armando Reverón art school of Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela) where he graduated in fine arts.
He works as a designer and illustrator in “CG Latin Magazine” and “286 La Revista” magazine. Later as a freelance illustrator, for the Puerto Ordaz weekly newspaper “El Critico” and Ferrominera del Orinoco, among others in Venezuela.
He alternated his time as an illustrator, teaching basic and analytical drawing classes at the school where he studied and giving drawing and comic workshops.
He has also participated in comic projects such as the layout of the “Chica de serie B” compilation books, and the colors and lettering for some episodes of the Spanish version of Green Onions comic by Iván Sarnago.
“A requirement of creativity is that it contributes to change. Creativity keeps the creator alive.”
His second passion, martial arts, led him to study the ba hok pai system for 10 years, and then venture into the Philippine martial arts, under the tutelage of Gat Ninog Yuri Jimenez of the Garimot system, currently being an apprentice instructor.
Erisado lives in Cali Colombia, where he hopes to enhance his illustration work and collaborates in the work of creating an association of illustrators to improve the quality of life of all those who dedicate themselves to living the profession of creating stories with images.
